Amsterdam Internet Exchange

There are some industries, that are vital for our day-to-day life, but we don't even know that they exist. The world of Internet Peering proved to be such a case for me. That's way I'm glad that I got in touch with one of the biggest Internet Exchanges – the Amsterdam Internet Exchange by helping them with their brand and Photography.
2020 – to date | made at Studio Piraat

Connecting everyone and everything

In a (very shallow) nutshell, Internet exchanges provide safe connections between networks and thereby creating the backbone of the Internet. About 30 Exabyte of data run through the infrastructure of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) every year – yes, that's a lot.
A while ago, AMS-IX approached Studio Piraat to analyse its brand and create bulletproof guidelines. As they've been working with several agencies before, there were many elements – so I was glad to assess all of them and put them together in a way that creates a strong brand. After the delivery of an 80 pages brand book, I was glad to help them with more print and digital design work (together with my colleagues at the studio). Moreover, I'm still regularly producing photoshoots with AMS-IX. What a connection.
